Another Year!!

These pictures were from the first day of school this year!
I will post pictures tomorrow of the last day of school. I can't believe a whole year has flown by and I do mean flown.
They both have changed so much! We will be embarking on 2nd and 4th grade. The Lord blessed us so much this year with wonderful teachers and a great experience this year. Of course there were challenges, but we made it through!
The bottom picture is of Jack and his friend Anthony on the first day! He is such a sweet boy and they call each other brother from another mother.
More tomorrow and I 'm so happy summer break is here. I'm ready for relaxation and time with friends.
YIPPEE FOR SUMMER!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My Daisy is a Brownie!!!!

Well my sweet Emma is no longer a young Daisy but has graduated to an offical brownie girl scout! We have the most amazing troop leaders and they had a bridging ceremony for the girls. Just like a graduation.
I personally was never a girl scout, so this is all new to me. Emma seems to love it.
It is bunch of crazy 1st, oh I mean 2nd graders. LOL.
She is really growing up! Sassy attitude and all!

Back in Action

Well thanks to my sweet friend Holly, I felt inspired to update my blog after an entire year. YIKES.
A lot has happened and a lot has changed in a year. I will have to fully update later. We are finishing 1st and 3rd grade. My baby is 3 and growing up so fast! Sniff. Some sad changes in our family, but God is still and faithful. Lots of good things and just your ordinary life here as a mom, wife, friend, daughter, sister!

THis past weekend I went with my parents to Minessota for my nieces graduation. Drew and kids stayed here and I had the best time with my family. I loved hanging out with my sister, parents and all my nieces and nephews who most of them are adults. UGH!!
SO prould of you Emily. LOVE YOU!!!

Other thoughts from my visit:

I aslo got to see and hang out with neice Emily and nephew Andrew. They are away at college and I have not gotten to seem them in so long. It was so fun to hang out with them and hear whats going on with them. It is crazy to me that they are as old as they are. Emily is almost the age I was when I got married....oh my Lord. Jacob took right to my sister and that surprised me a little since he rarely goes to anyone. I suppose we look enough alike he thought what the heck.
It was a fun crazy trip.

The Wizard of Oz

I know it has been FOREVER since I have blogged. No time and if there is time I'm on Facebook, sick I know. But I'm excited to blog about my trip to Tulsa. Some of my Neices and Nephews were in a school production of Wizard of OZ. And also my sister was the head hancho. It was incredible, everything. The set, the talent, the costumes everything. I knew her kids were talented but really people it was that good. I took Emma and Jacob while Jack and Daddy were on a camping trip and I have never heard Emma laugh like she did when Sam came out. He was the cowardly lion and was awesome and so so funny. Good job guys, we love you.

I Remember.......

Today is Sept 11. I always remember growing up hearing my parents or adults say: I remember where I was when JFK was shot, or an actor passed away or something significant. Never did I think I would to have an experience like that. To say I remember where I was or what I was doing. Sept 11 is something none of us could have ever imagined. And I do remember where I was and what I was doing that morning. Jack was about 7 months old, he was sitting in his high chair having breakfast, the today show was on and Drew was getting ready for work. I watched the whole thing unfold. Seeing the first plane and listening to Matt Lauer say they thought it was a terrible accident. Then in a few minutes realizing it was not an accident. That is when pure terror set in. For many reasons, but mostly 2. My brother and sister in law. My brother is a pilot for AA and i didn't know his schedule that month and he often flys to NY, I was frantically calling trying to find out where he was. And thank God he was safe. My sister in law worked in the bottom of the world trade center. We got a phone call from her husband not sure where she was and this point the buildings had collapsed. I just started praying, there was nothing else to do. I threw on some clothes and put Jack in the car and went to my other sister in laws to wait by the phone. I will not try to retell my sister in law's experience, but I will tell you it was miracle she is alive. She saw things she should have never seen, things you would see in a war. But she was safe. So today I remember where I was, what I was doing and still remember how I felt. I want to remember and pray for the families today that lost their loved ones, the ones who don't get to kiss their husband goodbye in the morning, the dads and moms who left their kids motherless or fatherless. I am grateful that I have my family.

Ready for Fall

We are having a ladies social tonight at church called Fall into Fellowship. Thinking about it made me really ready for Fall. Fall is by far my favorite time of year. Everything from the smells, weather, school, taste. I'm ready to be able to open my windows, smell my pumpkin candle burning. Oh I can't wait!!!. Best of all dress my kids in their cute fall clothes. Yippe.

Other random thoughts here. Discovered about a year ago that I have developed an allergic reaction to peaches. I can't touch them or eat them. If do touch them I have to wash my hands fast. Well a little while ago I cut Jacob a peach and forgot, my eye was itching so of course I reached up and scratched it and now it is almost swollen shut. Well great!!!
Another day.
